Celebrating A King From Birth, By Adetunji Alli

“When it was the 8th day to be named, a strange woman came in and ordered I should be named “Olusegun” “Adewale” and “Afinimola -Abdulrosheed”. Immediately, she disappeared” OLUWO.

YORUBA would say “Oruko Omo niiro Omo”. The above statement has clearly shown that Oluwo is not an accidental monarch. He is a monarch from birth. The longest reigning past Oluwo was Muhammad Ahinla Lamuye between 1816-1906. Exactly 200years after, precisely in. 2016, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi was coronated.

He is the 16th Oluwo, coronated in January 16th in 2016. He performed Hajji and Arafat day synchronized to be 16th day of the month. Everything about Oluwo is a pointer to the fact that, he was appointed by God and not human. He eschewed all embarrassing acts such as deity worshipping and land grabbing by monarchs. He respects himself and his subjects reciprocate.

Oba Akanbi, with his many stories, has been prepared. He didn’t prepare himself, God prepared him. He is not an accidental monarch. He brought a new dimension to monarchy solely in respect to the way of Solomon.

He resigns to God only. He tells the truth in honour of the symbol of Odidere. He is exposed, a quality he devices to manage his town.

He is loaded with ideas. He runs a digital monarchy against the retrogressive old ways.

The results of his stylish governance is glaring. Today, Iwo is greater.

Kabiesi, I celebrate your ideas, your commitment and dedication to a new enviable kingdom. Without selling land, you remain glittering, fresh and you appear unique.

Your majesty, as you mark another glorious year, my Good God will continue to strengthen you for humanity at large. Your submissiveness to Olodumare is unequalled. I specially celebrate the singular quality.
