Hijirah 1446: Oluwo Urges Muslims To Resign To God
As Muslims around the world celebrate Islamic new year, Hijirah 1446, Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has urged them to resign to their creator.
The monarch made this known in a statement personally signed on Sunday.
Oluwo, who urged Muslims to submit themselves to God said “When you honour God unadulterated, God will honour you distinctively.”
His statement reads “Being a Muslim has its price. Muslims are those practicing Islam. Islam is total commitment to the will of God. Trusting in one God is the meeting point of Islam and Yoruba.
“A true Muslim must honour God by resigning only to Him. As we celebrate another Islamic calendar, I urge all Muslims to uphold the Paramount pillar of Islam – believe in one God.
“True believers will not associate partner with God. Muslims are not to worship deities or idols. There is not shortcut to the ways of God. When you honour God unadulterated, God will honour you distinctively. Anyone who think anything is possible without God is not a Muslim.
“I’ve commenced the vigorous campaign of the oneness of God from Iwo. As an unrepentant promoter of Olodumare, and with the accompanied rewards, I will continuously toe the path of honouring God.”
