Oyetola Flags Off Construction of 120 Bed Wards, 30 Doctors Quarters For Osun Hospital

As party of his efforts to improve healthcare delivery in Osun State, Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Tuesday flag off the expansion of the State Specialist Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo with construction of 120 bed wards including 30 quarters for doctors.

Oyetola in his address said that the hospital is a Milti-specialist hospital which offers specialized services in major area.

He added that renovation works will also be done on the hospital’s theater complex, blood bank, medical laboratory complex, trauma center,hope clinical and including external wall.

Oyetola explained that “Funds for these projects were substantially sourced from the Federal government facilitated World Bank’s Save One Million Lives (SOML) saying Osun got 20.547 million dollars”.

While speaking on his determination to provide good health service to the citizens and residents of Osun he said “Our revitalization program is holistic, it comes with the use of technology to boost health delivery, provision of modern equipment, training and retraining of staff for efficient healthcare”.

Counting his success in the health sector, Gov. Oyetola disclosed that his administration has executed six major campaigns on Maternal, Neonatal and Child Week including Immunization plus Day, exclusive breast feeding, polio eradication, distribution of hanging net and level training for activation of basic health care provision fund.
