Osun Metropolis Lion Club Seeks Royal Blessing As It Unveiled Her 2019-2020 Program



The Ataoja of Osogbo Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olaonipekun, Larooye II on Thursday applauded Osun Metropolis Lion Club of Nigeria for their humanitarian service to the people of Osogbo and her surbub.

Oba Olanipekun also blessed the club members while receiving their audience in his palace at Osogbo where the club unveiled her 2019-2020 programme of the new lions year.

Ataoja commended members of the Club for their kind gesture to humanity and development of the entire society, stressed that the Club is working in line with God’s command “God has commanded human being to give out what they have which you have been doing.

“Life will be more better if everyone have mind to give out of thing they have and society will full of love. Don’t relent on humanitarian service God will surely reward you and your family”

The monarch ceased the medium to pray for the country to grow in peace and harmony, however asked God for people with heart of charity who will assist less privileges in the society adding that with this the world will be a better place for human race.

Speaking, the tenth and second female President of the Club, Osun metropolitan, Lion Solabunmi Akinsola, said that Club as set her agenda of the new Lion year which started on July 1st 2019 that base on service to humanity.

Akinsola said the Club is having an ongoing project inside Osun State Hospital front of maternity center Asunbiaro Osogbo, noted that the project will last for five years with provision of eyes equipment for those that have eye problems at free of charge for the residents of Osun state.

During her introduction of the club, She said members of the Club comprises of women and men who are civil servants, artisans also described her members as service minded individuals who take every day to make a different in human life.

“They are people who devoted their time, treasury and talent to touch life of humanity in the society” she said.

“Lion club is non government and international club with about 1.4 million men and women volunteers who make impact on people lives locally and internationally.

Also, the Lion Abiona Mojeeb Abiodun, Osogbo chapter President said the Lion club was founded over 100 years ago which was solemnly established to serve less privileges and the community to make life convenient of the people.

He also said that there is a programme call the hunger which is to touch life of people that show cares Lion club have for middle and less privileges.

He added that club built a block for general hospital Ede about for four years ago that call diabete treatment and training center that donated to Osun state government.

Early, the executive of the club visited the head of service of Africa Independent Television AIT and Raypower radio under DAAR communication PLC, Osogbo, to partner with the station concern the publicity for the programme of the club.

In her welcome Mrs Folashade Osodi said the service to humanity is very important in any society. She assured maximum support for the progress of state and country at large.

The executive of the club decorated head of the station with the Lion Club symbo making her a member of the club.
