Oyun Baptist Muslim Pupils Protest As CAN Orders School Management To Disallow Use Of Hijab

Muslim pupils of Oyun Baptist High School, Ijagbo, Kwara State on Thursday protested against the non approval of the use of Hijab by their school management.
The protesting pupils took to the gate of their school carrying placards with different inscriptions like “Islam is a religion of peace not violence”, “We are muslims Hijab is our right”, Hijab is our constitutional right,not compromise”.
Blaze Newz gathered that despite the Kwara State Government directive that pupils willing to use Hijab in public schools across the state should be allowed, The Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN, remains adamant that such will not be welcomed in christian missionary schools.

According to a banner hanged at the entrance of the state the Christian body says “Say no to use of Hijab in Oyun Baptist High School”.
