Matriculation: Utilize E-learning Through ICT,Ospoly Charges Students

The Management of Osun State polytechnic, Iree on Thurday matriculated students for the 2018/2019 academic session.

The matriculation ceremony took place in the school campus at ETF hall for students of Higher National Diploma(HND), National Diploma (ND) and students for National Certificate of Education (NCE).

Addressing the new students ,Rector of the institution Dr. Jacob Agboola congratulated them for being among those which the institution matriculated for 2018/2019 academic seasion and urged them to shun all forms of social vices.

Counting the success recorded by the institution,Dr. Agboola said the institution started with eight programmes but now has 38 fully accredited programmes with the National Board For Technical Education (NBTE), adding that the institution is one of the state owned Polytechnics in Nigeria with the highest number accredited programmes across the Globe.

He further disclosed that Ospoly will soon commence online distance learning programmes (ODL) for students who are interested, he also chraged the students to embrace E-learning through the ICT.

“ I am happy to inform you that the students Affairs Directorate is staffed with competent personalities in crisis management and other allied matters.” he stressed.

“You are therefore enjoined to acquaint yourself with the Insitution’s conflict resolution procedure, for any complaints you are advised to approach the students affairs Directorate to amicably resolve lingering issues,” Dr Agboola stressed.

Dr. Agboola lauded Osun State Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and his deputy Gboyega Alabi for their investing heavily in education of the state saying the will produce responsible youths and prepare them for leadership.
