Fifa U-17 World Cup: Eaglets Seek Qualification To Round Of 16
The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria are seeking to book a passage to the knock out stage at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup going on Brazil when they take on Ecuador tonight in the second group B game at the Estádio Olímpico,Gioania.
The match will come up at 9:00 pm (Nigeria time).
The Eaglets in their opening match defeated Hungary 4-2 in on Sunday and a win against the Ecuadorians today will guarantee them a place in round of 16 of the competition.
speaking ahead of the clash, the captain of the side Samson Tijani promised that the team will do more in their next match with Ecuador.
“I thank the fans for supporting us, I really thank God for that. They should keep supporting us and I just believe with my teammates we are going to do better against Ecuador.” he said.
