Community and Rural Intervention, Osun CSDP Tells Kogi Counterpart To Work With Its State Government



Osun State Community Social and Development Project,(CSDP) on Wednesday advised its Kogi state counterpart to collaborate with its state government agenda in order to meet successful demands of the agengy.

This advice was made through Osun CSDP general manager, Mrs.Abokede Aderonke Funmi during a retreat and study tour organized for Kogi CSDP held in Ben-Ber Foundation Hall,Oke-Oniti,Osun State.

Addressing the Kogi CDSP board,Mrs.Abokede explained that the use of economy, efficiency and effectiveness principles in CSDP social intervention program will bring easy result and free the agency from financial burdens.

“Employ Community Driven Development bottom up approach where the people can decide on their priorities in order to get value for money so that priorities will be towards the needs of poor people which will be in alignment with state government Agenda” Mrs.Abokede implored.

Speaking on CSDP Mrs.Aderonke stressed that it is the responsibility of the agency to work hand in hand with government agency as an influential body useful for social infrastructure development, restoration of community affected by disaster or vices.

The Kogi State General Manager for CSDP board ,Malam Mohammed Dauda noted that Osun State CSDP has done well in discharging the agency obligations to numerous communities in needs adding that this is the reason why Kogi CSDP choosed to learn from Osun CSDP.

He added that Kogi CSDP is delighted by the recommendation of the World Bank to have the retreat and study tour in Osun State saying Osun CSDP board and the Osun government cordial relationship is worthy of emulating.

Malam Mohammed appreciated support of Nigeria federal government and state governments towards CSDP projects nation wide, urged the public to maintain projects of the agency existing in their communities.

The national coordinator of CSDP Dr.AbdulKareem Dauda represented by Mr Adewale Gbadebo,the national operation coordinator congratulated Kogi CSDP board for the retreat and study tour, charged the trainees to put all knowledge of the retreat into practice for the agency social intervention approach.

He however,disclosed that the World Bank will always be at their aid through financial funding of projects for public benefit.
