Buhari in the viral video and pictures was seen checking who his wife voted for.

The picture and video have since stirred reactions from Nigerians online, even as the country awaits results of 2019 presidential elections.

Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POST from Twitter:

@Reno Omokri “Dear INEC, It is illegal for anybody, no matter how highly placed, to check another person’s ballot. The Electoral Act provides for a secret ballot. An individual named Buhari was caught on video/camera violating this.

@Chosensomto “General Buhari had to escort his wife; Aisha, to confirm he voted for him.INEC this is against electoral laws, could pass for voter intimidation as well.”

@Projectsavenaija “This is voter Intimidation. How can the President ensure his wife voted for him.”

@De_afrikid “Knowing humans and how they can be, I don’t blame him. Especially your spouse, u have to know whether ur spouse is with u or against u. Still not ok to check someone’s ballot paper though but I understand him.”

@Manifestor9 “If you will not believe anyone at least not your spouse, if not guilt, he has failed even his household. Nigeria must wake up to this and vote for a better Nigeria and not go back to failure.”

@Mariam6922 “He doesn’t even trust his wife. It’s as bad as that.”

@Earthkummy “This is to tell Nigerians that the wife of the president is under lockdown and house arrest.”

@MondayJ “Buhari is funny, the man does not trust his wife.”

@AbubakarImam5 “He truly mean it when he said ‘I don’t know which party Aisha belongs to’.This man’s integrity is exceptional. One in a billion. Sai Buhari!
