Adejare Vs Bamidele : Osun Tribunal Cancels 12 Units, Orders Rerun

Osun State tribunal sitting in Osogbo hearing the petitions of Former Osun Speaker and Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC)in the just concluded general election challenging the victory of Hon. Bamidele Salam of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who is representing Ede South, Ede Noth, Ejigbo and Egbedore Federal constituency in the Federal House of Representative on Monday nullified the lawmaker’s victory.

The tribunal ordered a rerun election in 12 units across the federal constituency.

According to the tribunal the cancelation was as a result of over voting in the 12 units during the election which produced Hon.Bamidel Salam as winner.

The affected areas are Ede South, Ward 5 Unit 4,ward 7 unit 8, ward 7 unit 10,ward 10 unit 13 also in Ede North ward 3 unit 10, ward 5 unit 2,and ward 7 unit 2.

Two units were also canceled in Ajigbo ward 11 unit 9 and ward 3 unit 5.

Cancelation was also ordered in the local government of the serving lawmaker which is Egbedore ward 9 unit 1,ward 4 unit 4 and ward 10 unit 2.
