Adeleke Memorial Cup : Player Slumps, Dies During Football Match – Police
The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the death of Adeyemi Adewale ‘M’ 29YRS, a player from Ilesa West Football Team.
This was contained in a press release issued by the command’s spokesperson, CSP Yemisi Opalola, on Thursday, in Osogbo.
CSP Opalola noted that Adewale slumped on the pitch on Thursday during the final of Adeleke Memorial Cup at Ataoja School Of Science.

According to the police Spokesperson the deceased ” was rushed to osun state university teaching hospital, where he was later confirmed dead by the doctor.
“Meanwhile, his corpse has been deposited at the hospital morgue” she added.
