Attack On Osun: Ede Elders Council Sues For Peace, Says Supreme Court Verdict Confirmed Hallelujah Part Of Edeland

The Ede Elders Council (Egbe Igbimo Agbaagba Ilu Ede) has pleaded with Ede sons and daughters and all residents of Halleluyah Town, a suburb of Edeland, to remain calm as the Osun State government has waded in to the unfortunate attack on the person and the sacred stool of Ajeniju of Halleluyah Town, Oba Yusuf Jelili Olaiya, Ademola 1 by some unscrupulous individuals allegedly from Ido Osun a neighborhood town to Halleluyah Town.

The appeal was made, on Monday, by the President of the Council, Alhaji Sulaimon Ademola Adebayo.

In a statement issued by the Director of Publicity, Ede Elders Council, Chief Ayodele Adeyemo, the Council says while it notes with sadness that the unprovoked attack is a condemnable desecration of traditional institutions and culture, the call for peace by Ede Elders is to allow sanity to reign.

The Council praised the prompt intervention of Senator Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, who directed full investigations into the circumstance that led to the unfortunate and unwarranted mayhem on the traditional ruler of Halleluyah Town.
