Supercoppa Italiana: Inter Beat Atalanta Set For Fourth consecutive Final In Saudi

A brace from Denzel Dumfries saw Inter Milan through to the Supercoppa Italiana final with a 2-0 win over Atalanta.

The two sides went in at the break locked at 0-0, as Inter’s Lautaro Martínez had gone closest to opening the scoring with three missed chances.

Yet the Nerazzurri came out after the break with a more determined focus and Denzel Dumfries put his side into the lead in spectacular style with a bicycle kick.

The Dutchman was in sparkling form as he completed his brace with another stunning effort, this time a rocket of a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Atalanta are not a team who lie down easily though, and Gian Piero Gasperini’s side thought they had pulled one back through Éderson, only for the Brazilian’s effort to be ruled out for offside.

Inter will face the winner of the second semi-final between Milan and Juventus, which will take place on Friday evening.

The final is scheduled for Monday evening at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
