ODPF Announces 3-day Program For 35th Ojoku Day

Sets December 12 For 15th Coronation Anniversary Of Olojoku

The Ojoku Descendants Progressive Forum, ODPF, has announced a 3-day programs for the celebration of 2024 Ojoku Day.

Ojoku Day, a cultural heritage and annual celebration which brings together all sons, daughters and lovers of the people of Ojokuland, Kwara state.

In a statement by the National Public Relations Officer of ODPF, Comrade Shola Salami, made available to Blaze Newz on Friday, said this year’s Ojoku Day will hold between Thursday 12th and Saturday 14th of December 2024.

According to Salam on the Ojoku Day “is a total package of showcasing the rich cultural heritage and value of the Ojokus captured by unity, a love and commitment to fatherland.”

He added that on December 12 the a special Islamic lecture has been lined up for the 15th coronation anniversary of the Olojoku, Oba AbdulRazaq Adegboyega Afolabi Iyiola Seni III, withe the installation of new chiefs which will all hold at the Olojoku’s palace.

Salami who quoted the National President, Alh Kehinde Adebayo enjoined all sons and daughters of Ojoku to arrive early, added that they should channel more developmental projects and home-based programs to the community.

The Ojoku Day Committee 2024 appealed to everyone attending the township annual celebration to take heed and meticulous caution of the ongoing road constructions from Offa to Ojoku town, Afon to Ojoku town, and Idofian-Elerinjare to Ojoku town.

Other programs for December 13th and 14th includes; community special prayer, sport, beauty and brain contest ‘Àrèwa omidan Ojoku’, among others.
