2024 Ede-Day : Planning Committee Woos Sons, Daughters In Benin Republic, Assures Them Of Maximum Security

The Chairman of the 2024 Ede Day Central Working Committee, Hon. Lukman Afolabi, has assured sons and daughters of Ede in Benin Republic who will be coming to Nigeria that their lives and property will be secured maximally.

Afolabi, who was represented by Chairman of Mobilization Committee, Alhaja Tijani Hssanat ,(Ola Mummy), made this assurance known during their interface with members of Ede Descendant Union, Benin Republic.

Speaking , Alhaja Hassanat said it was important that sons and daughters of Ede in Benin Republic are properly informed about the December 7 Ede Day celebration.

According to her “We are celebrating our land, our heroes—both past and present. We are so glad and appreciate that you have represented the youth here in Cotonou, and we are very proud of you.”

Also speaking, Secretary of the Contact Committee, Mr Ismail Olaolu highlighted that the number one priority of the Chairman Working Committee is to thank God and appreciate Him for answering our prayers in Ede.

He added that there will also be a launching of multi billion naira for developmental project.

“Last week, we met Osun State Governor who is our own son, Governor Ademola Adeleke, (Asiwaju of Edeland), we gave him report about Ede-Day and the Governor mandated that we should meet our people in Benin Republic.”

He further explained to them why this year’s planning committee opted for a young Alh Lukman Afolabi as the chairman planning committee, Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun as royal father of the day, and world renounced Hipop artiste, Davido, as the golden son of the year.

Appreciating delegate of the planning committee for traveling down to the west Africa neighboring country, Chairman of the Ede Descendant Union, Benin Republic, Alhaji Suleiman Adegboye assured them of their maximum support for the progress of their fatherland.

He thanked Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa and Oluomo of Edeland Ambassador Adejare Bello.

He also lauded Governor Adeleke, who doubles as Asiwaju of Edeland for making them realized that they are important despite residing offshore of Nigeria.
