Afolabi Kicks Off 2024 Abere Soose Under-13 Youth Cup Final

The chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Ede South Local Government, Alh Hon. Lukman Afolabi, has performed the final kick-off ceremony of a maiden football tournament of the Abere Soose Under-13 Youth Cup.

Addressing Coach Oyedunmola shortly after the kickoff, Afolabi said the essence of the football tournament is to bring the people of the area together in promoting youth development.

“We know your impact as far as the youth development of Ede is concerned, and that’s why we have trust in you, Not only to support your career but as a lover of youth who initiated the most marvelous organization in Ede over 27years ago such as the Forum of Ede Youth Development Association (FEYDA).”

Afolabi explained that when he founded the youth program in Ede, he encouraged youths not to smoke or shoot guns around the town.

Those people would have become professors in the game, but he said rather than do that, he always encouraged his people and led them to the right path, and today he’s now the PATHFINDER.

Afolabi, however, vowed that if he’s privileged to be elected Ede South Local Government Area chairman come 2025 he will continue to support youths better than what he has done in the past.

He also noted that he is determined to continue in emulating the hard work of his mentor, the performing and working Governor, HE Sen Dr. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke IMOLE.

He appreciated the organizer of the tournament, Coach Akin Oyedunmola for recognizing him to sponsor a category of the tournament.

He charged organizer of the tournament to continue to support him.

He prayed that God should continue to lead him to the right path “I am ready to continue to support you from time to time, we haven’t got enough money to support you but we will be supporting you with whatever we have which you will never regret.”

He also thanked the presence of Oba Tajudeen Adekunle Elerin of Awo land, The coaches led by Coach Abdulrasheed Adediran Adeleke, the Chairman of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Osun state chapter, The former vice chairman, Hon Muritala Salami, the former scribe, Hon Usman Hammed Oloseluoni, CEO of Eyiowuawi Pharmaceutical and Supermarkets, Babatunde Eyiowuawi, Alh Amodemaja, Sass, was Councillor, Supers, Adeleke General Summit, the Pathfinder Team and other groups present for being gracious hosts.
