June 12 : Let’s Guide Our Democracy Jealously – Ede South Chair, Afolabi Tells Nigerians

Residents of Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State have been charged to continue to support Governor Ademola Adeleke in ensuring that he succeed in delivering dividends of democracy to everyone at the grassroots.
The council chairman, Hon. Lukman Afolabi Abere Soose, in his June 12 Democracy Day message on Wednesday, called on all citizens to jealously guide Nigeria’s democratic government at all level.
Just as he urged tham to remain patriotic and shun all form of acts capable of putting Nigeria, Osun State and Ede South Local Government in disrepute.
Afolabi, who recalled that since the return of democracy in 1999, said Nigeria has achieved tremendous successes in human and capital development.
He noted that Ede South Local Government under his leadership is also enjoying people’s oriented infrastructural projects and will not deray in his resolute.
He congratulated all workers of the local government and sought their continuos support to deliver good governance to citizens of the council area.
Afolabi Democracy Day message reads “On behalf of the good people of Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State, I want to congratulate all for this year June 12 Democracy Day.
“I want to remind that since the return of the fourth republic in 1999, Nigeria with democratic government has achieved tremendous successes in all area despite pocket of challenges.
“I want to use this medium to congratulate all workers and residents of this council for endless support to the government of Osun under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
“I equally want to appeal to you all not to engage in acts capable of putting Nigeria, Osun State, Ede South Local Government in disrepute.
“One again happy June 12 democracy Day.”
