Ede City Hall Renovation Work Ongoing As Committee Assures Speedy Completion

The Renovation Committee led by Dr Musibaudeen O. Idris, has assured indigene of Ede at home and in diaspora quick completion of the Ede City Hall,Oja Timi, renovation.
Blaze Newz recalls that the 2024 Ede Day Planning Committee declared that township hall renovation was the major project to be executed.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the 2024 Ede Day, Hon Lukman Afolabi on Monday, said the ongoing renovation of the Ede City Hall is a direct result of the successful 2024 Ede Day celebration, which saw an overwhelming turnout and generous contributions from well-meaning sons and daughters of Ede.
He noted that the millions of naira realized from the event have been judiciously utilized to commence the much-needed renovation work.
Afolabi emphasized that the project aims to revamp the City Hall, providing a more conducive environment for the conduct of official business and community activities.
Afolabi, while appreciating all public and private officeholders who graced the 2024 Ede Day and supported Ede’s developmental agenda with thousands of naira said, “Your support, in cash and kind, has gone a long way in making this project a reality. We are grateful for your unwavering commitment to the development of our beloved city.
“The renovation work is being carried out with the utmost urgency, and we are confident that it will be completed within a reasonable timeframe. Upon completion, the Ede City Hall will be a source of pride for our community, reflecting the beauty and grandeur of our heritage.
“We are optimistic that the renovated City Hall will serve as a hub for community activities, fostering social interaction, and promoting cultural exchange. It will also provide a dignified space for official functions, reflecting the stature and prestige of our city” he added.

Conveying message of the Timi of Edeland, Oba (Dr) Munirudeen Adesola Lawala, Laminisa I, to all sons and daughters of Ede across the world, Afolabi said the royal father thanked them for their continual support to the development of their hometown.
He said Baba Timi urged them to continue to love and help their fellow indigene when they are in position to do so, saying this will foster their brotherhood.
