2026 : No Candidate From Osun West Has Been Endorsed – APC Agba Osun Member Speaks

Former speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly and member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Agba Osun Forum, Professor Mojeed Alabi has dismissed insinuation that a gubernatorial aspirant has been endorsed.

Professor Alabi in a post shared on his verified Facebook page on Monday insisted that leaders of the party within Osun West Senatorial District have not said anything on who will be their preferred candidate for 2026 governorship race.

According to the Facebook post “osun west leaders and stakeholders have not said anything. ”

Blaze Newz gathered that the immediate former deputy governor of Osun, Benedict Alabi and a two term commissioner for finance, Bola Oyebanji from Osun west and Senator Mudashiru Hussein, have all declared their intentions to contest for the party’s gubernatorial ticket.

Meanwhile, National Secretary of APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru, from Osun central district is adamant that the party should give priority to credible candidate rather than depriving members of the party from exercising their right.

Different groups within the party and traditional rulers from Osun west have raised their voices harping on the need for the APC to consider candidate from the district come 2026.
