Ede Politicians Defy Political Differences, Unite To Celebrate Timi At 70

Governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke, Ambassador Adejare Bello, other political functionaries ,on Saturday, stormed the city of Ede to celebrate the 70th birthday of the Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa I.

The politicians alongside government officials, Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun all felicitated with the monarch over God’s mercy in his life.

Speaking at the birthday reception, Governor Adeleke commended Oba Adesola for his purposeful leadership, which has positively transformed the lives of his subjects.

He lauded the monarch’s efforts in fostering unity and patriotism, key factors that have driven the physical and economic advancement of Ede in recent years.

Recognizing the invaluable guidance of the royal father in maintaining peace and stability in Osun State and beyond, Governor Adeleke also praised Oba Lawal’s dedication to preserving Yoruba culture and traditions.

“As Oba Munirudeen marks another year, I join his family, friends, and well-wishers across the world in celebrating him. He is a monarch deeply committed to the welfare of his people, consistently seeking ways to improve lives and drive meaningful progress in his domain,” the governor stated in his congratulatory message.

“Through divine guidance and Kabiyesi’s exemplary leadership, Ede has witnessed remarkable growth over the years. On a personal level, Kabiyesi’s passion for service and development continues to inspire me,” he added.

Governor Adeleke prayed for Almighty Allah’s continued blessings upon the revered monarch, wishing him good health, wisdom, and a long reign filled with even greater achievements for Ede and beyond.

The birthday reception, which took place at Ede High School, attracted traditional rulers, academics , business moguls, and dignitaries from all walks of life.
