Osun APC Attacks Primate Ayodele Over Gov Adeleke's Second Term

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dragged the controversial self-styled man of God, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, over his recent tainted and tilted prophecy in favour of the embattled Governor Ademola Adeleke.

It would be recalled that the prophet whom a large chunk of his prophecies had not seen the light of day in the past had reportedly stated at an empowerment programme in his church in Lagos recently that Governor Adeleke would win re-election in the state among other things.

Primate Ayodele was also reported to have disclosed that he went to Adeleke’s house in Ede sometime ago where delivered a divine message to him, stating that “I came to your house, a storey-building located along the road … When the election was rigged, I gave thanks to God for the grace He gave me to deliver His message”.

The disputatious prophet was also reported to have arrogantly equated himself to God by stating that: “People have been calling me a controversial prophet but I don’t care because God Himself is also controversial”.

Part of what the bellicose self-acclaimed man of God stated on the occasion was: “Asiwaju sir, please, keep doing what you are doing for the Osun people. There is no magic wand that can save APC. Even if Tinubu comes to Osun to campaign for APC and Oyetola, you will win”.

Since the garrulous primate has willfully descended into the arena of politics by metaphorically surrounding himself with the grains of corn, he should be prepared to be the playmate of the proverbial fowls.

Our advice is that it would profit Prophet Ayodele better to remove his cassock with which he has been deceiving his gullible clients and replace it with a traditional three-piece flowing gown(agbada) instead of hiding under the shield of a man of God to throw political tantrums for reasons which could only be commercial.

It is a pity that an acclaimed man of God can elect to be a disgrace and utter disappointment to Christendom by hobnobbing with the politicians of questionable integrity for want of what to hurriedly benefit from them by telling them what they will like to hear.

There is no way our party would stand with hands akimbo watching a cash-and-carry manner voodoo prophet disguising as a man of God denigrating our party and our leaders just the way the controversial Prophet Ayodele has been doing.

If we may ask, what could have been the business of a prophet who is not a religious merchant to have been engaging in the shameful hawking of prophetic messages by going to the houses of his desperate customers if not for pecuniary rewards?

Is it not possible for Prophet Ayodele to take a cue from the highly respected and revered men of God who are into a similar business with him without necessarily bringing Christianity into disrepute?

One thing that is pungently clear in Osun State today is that Governor Adeleke knows where the shoe pinches him which prompted his running helter-skelter like an uncomfortable person who has swallowed a proverbial pestle.

If the disputatious self-acclaimed prophet Primate Elijah Ayodele is truly imbued with a genuine spirit of his trade, why was it an impossibility for him to have predicted that Governor Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would lose the election matter at the Court of Appeal, Akure Division, which was in favour of the APC, its elected local government chairmen and councillors, last Monday?

We can not however, begrudge the controversial prophet of doom in his glaring game of scooping a proverbial soup of the embattled Governor Adeleke who is being chased by a metaphorical masquerade in the political firmament of the state in his desperation to hanker after the control of the entire local government council in the state which he has lost irredeemably through the instrumentality of the law.

We shall continue to educate the ill-informed Primate Ayodele that he has a crass misrepresentation of the current political state of affairs in Osun State where the APC under the state leadership of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and state chairmanship of Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, is making waves.
