North Criminal Laws Differ From South – Police Spokesman Tells Nigerians

Spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force headquarters ,Abuja, Olumuyiwa Adejobi has told Nigerians living in different parts of the country to be aware that Nigeria operates two criminal laws for North and South.

Adejobi, in a post made on his verified Facebook page,on Saturday, urged Nigerians to know the laws “Nigeria operates two major criminal laws, the criminal code, for the south, and the penal code for the north.”

He further explained that ” There are other acts, the ones we refer to as miscellaneous acts.”

The police Spokesman who noted that for Nigerians to be aware of the laws they should get the law books added that they are not restricted documents.

He enjoined all and sundray to read ,and be familiar with the laws saying “Nigeria is not a lawless country.”
