Imavov then unleashed a flurry of strikes on the ground, forcing the referee to intervene and declare him the winner.
The Nigerian born UFC fighter appeared to have taken a glancing blow to the groin earlier in the fight, which caused him to momentarily pause and wave off the referee.
However, after resuming the fight, Imavov seized the opportunity to deliver the decisive blow.
The sudden and emphatic nature of the defeat has raised questions about Adesanya’s future in the sport, with some speculating that one of the greatest UFC careers may be coming to an end.

The defeat marks a significant setback for Adesanya, who was looking to bounce back from a previous loss.
Imavov’s impressive victory, on the other hand, is likely to propel him up the rankings and establish him as a formidable force in the middleweight division.
As for Adesanya, only time will tell if he can recover from this devastating loss and continue to compete at the highest level.
