Who Should I Fight Next – Ruiz Jr Ask Fans As begins path back to titles

Derek Chisora has invited Andy Ruiz Jr over to London for a heavyweight scrap.

Ruiz Jr, who defeated Anthony Joshua for the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles in 2019 before losing them back to the Brit six months later, hasn’t been active much since.

His sole outing was a unanimous decision victory over Chris Arreola last summer, but he’s looking to put more fights together now.

On Twitter, the Mexican-American asked: “Who should I fight next? Let me see in the comments.”

Chisora was quick on the draw and replied: “Want to come to London?”

The 38-year-old Brit has lost his last three fights with one defeat coming against IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and a pair of defeats to former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker.

Fans called for Chisora to consider retirement after his last loss, but Del Boy, 32-12, still wants to fight the very best before he calls it a day.

“The thing is, I will be honest with you, I want to fight everybody,” he said.

“When I hang it up I can say I fought everybody in my era and enjoyed it. I loved it, that’s what I want to do.

“I don’t want to duck and dive and suddenly at the end of my career saying ‘I wish I’d fought this guy’. No, I want to fight everybody right now.”

Promoter Eddie Hearn told talkSPORT earlier this year they were in talks with Luis Ortiz for a possible bout against Chisora, but it now seems Ortiz might actually get Joshua given his title rematch against Usyk is likely to be postponed.

Ruiz has openly admitted he has struggled for motivation since becoming world heavyweight champion in one of the biggest upsets in modern boxing history.

However, through training with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez coach Eddy Reynoso, he has lost some weight and is back on track.
