Killers Of Rofiat Should Also Be Beheaded – Sister

The elder sister of Rofiat, the teenage girl who was horrifyingly slain in Abeokuta, Ogun State, by her 18-year-old lover, Soliu Majekodumi, and three of his friends for ritual, has stated that her family is yet to inform their mother about the death of her sister.

Blaze Newz gathered that on Saturday Rofiat was enticed from her home by Soliu in the evening of Friday, January 28, to a building where she was murdered and decapitated by her lover and three of his friends.

A security personnel noticed the young boys’ acts and called the police, who captured them as they were burning the deceased’s head inside a pot.

Rofiat’s sister, Okeowo, spoke with newsmen about the last minutes she had with her sister before she was dragged away from their home. She reported that late Rofiat was requested to prepare beans for the family’s supper.

She further explained that Rofiat asked for her permission to go out after putting the pot of beans on the fire in the evening, and she consented.

She , however, stated that she didn’t know where she headed.

“When it was around 8:30pm, I called her number and asked if she was coming home tonight. She said she was already on her way and almost home. So, I went to bed. Around 10:00pm, I called her, only to discover that her number was no longer reachable.

“I asked her mother if she had seen her daughter, she said no. The following morning, I asked her mother again and she gave the same response.

“It was later in the day that I heard that a lady was killed and beheaded in the community. I was suspicious at that moment since I had not seen Rofiat.”

She claimed she identified one of the accused in the viral video showing the culprits who decapitated the lady.

This led her to bring a photograph of the victim to the Adatan Police Station, where a Divisional Police Officer informed them that she had been killed.

She explained that their mother, who suffers from hypertension, has not been notified about the issue because they are worried that if she is, something bad will happen to her.

In her words; “If we tell her now and she dies, that will leave us with two dead bodies.”

When queried on what she wants the government to do, the aggrieved sister demanded her sister avenged saying “Those that killed her should be killed as well. They should also be beheaded just as they did to her.”
