Barnsley Sack Nigerian Midfielder Ahead New Season

Nigerian midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali, is set to make an exit from Barnsley in this transfer window.
This was revealed by the team’s head coach, Conor Hourihane.
Hourihane confirmed that Nwakali will be allowed to leave the League One club.

The 26-year-old has not played since he returned late from holidays in Nigeria, an incident that saw him banished from first-team training.
Since then, he had missed matches against Plymouth Argyle, Burton Albion, Fleetwood Town and Bolton Wanderers.
Nwakali’s disciplinary issues have always seemed to disrupt his career, as he has been sacked by Spanish side Huesca in the past for a similar offence.
“Obviously there’s a couple of weeks to go in the window. Let’s see where it takes us,” Hourihane said.
When asked directly if Nwakali would be allowed to leave, he replied firmly, “Yes, that’s the plan.”
