Media Group Launches Initiative To Elevate Media Practice In Ibadan

The Media Transformative Group has unveiled a far-reaching initiative designed to enhance professional media practice, strengthen the capacity of media organizations, and inspire a culture of healthy competition within Ibadan’s dynamic media landscape.
The Group under the visionary Leadership of Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, the General Manager of Pensioners FM, has the General Manager of I-Flier FM, Adéjàre Àmùdá, the General Manager of Adamimogo FM, Mr. Joshua Adegbite, the Head of Station of Crest FM, Mr. Abíóyè Ọláídé, the General Manager of Omoluabi FM, Mr. Stephen Adedigba and Head of Station Vintage FM, Dr Opeyemi Adewale on board with the mandate to promote healthy competition in the Media landscape of Ibadan. The group has a long term mandate to bring together seasoned practitioners, emerging talents, and key stakeholders in the media industry, to position itself as a unifying platform for collaboration, growth, and ethical excellence. At the heart of its vision is the belief that a strong and credible media ecosystem is vital for the progress of any society, and that Ibadan, with its rich history as a hub of media innovation in Nigeria, can once again set the standard for the nation.
Through this initiative, Media Transformative Group intends to provide continuous professional development opportunities for journalists, broadcasters, and digital media practitioners in the city. This will include a series of intensive training programmes, capacity-building workshops, and peer-to-peer review sessions that will equip media professionals with the tools, knowledge, and confidence required to meet the highest global standards.
In addition to developing human capacity, the Group is committed to supporting the growth and sustainability of media organizations across Ibadan. This will be achieved by creating avenues for resource sharing, fostering partnerships, and offering strategic guidance that enables media houses to expand their audience reach, strengthen their business models, and achieve their organizational goals in an increasingly competitive environment.
