Protect Indigenous Companies From Political Vagaries - Ede Elders Forum Urges FG

• Congratulates Dr Deji on construction of new power generation company in Ondo

The Ede Elders Council (Igbimo Agbaagba Omo Ilu Ede), has extended its felicitations to Dr Deji Adeleke for his bold step in the construction of a new power generation company .

Dr Deji, father of Nigeria’s top hip-hop star, David Adeleke (Davido) who is the Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Holdings is also the owner of Pacific Energy, a subsidiary of his company.

Blaze Newz gathered that Pacific Energy’s newly constructed power generation company in Ajebamidele, Ondo State, South-west of Nigeria is a promising energy company with potential of 1,250 megawatts capacity generation.

In a congratulatory statement signed by Director of Publicity for Ede Elders Council, Chief Dr Ayodele Adeyemo, in Ede and made available to Blaze Newz on Thursday, said Ede Elders commend the managerial prowess of Dr Deji exhibited in the management of the existing Omotoso Power Plant in Ondo and Olorunsogo Power Plant in Ogun State.

“With the completion of the latest power Plant, it is real that Pacific Energy will now be the largest power producer in Nigeria” the statement said.

It further noted that Pacific Energy has “a soothing potential of transforming the hitherto parlous power supply in a country where Power generation and distribution are more of a mirage than a reality. We expect a resuscitation of both economic and social rebirth of our country.”

The Ede Elders, however, appealed to the Federal Government to ensure that indigenous companies are encouraged and well protected from political vagaries.

They lauded the patriarchy of the Adeleke Dynasty of Ede, wished him more blessings saying “we are proud of you as an Ede indigene with uncommon humane philanthropy”.
