Fadeyi Warns Oke Against Insulting His Office With Purported Defection To APC

The Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Olubiyi Fadeyi (Ajagunla) has cautioned lawmaker, representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of the state, Oluwole Oke, against insulting his person and office with purported defection to All Progressives Congress.

Blaze Newz gathered that Senator Olubiyi, who contested under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party defeated the current National Secretary of APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru in 2023.

Oke, who has been a PDP member for more than two decades, ever since his defection to APC has vowed to weaken Osun PDP ahead 2026 and 2027 by wooing thousands of PDP members in APC.

The Obokun federal lawmaker in a post shared on his verified Facebook page on Sunday, said Ajagunla has arrived (Ajagunla ti de) with attached picture of the two lawmakers.

The post was widely celebrated by Osun APC members who believed the senator has dumped PDP for APC.

Reacting to this in a statement personally signed by Senator Fadeyi , he said Oke’s action was laughable, insulting to his person, office, and his political structure.

“If ever I choose to consider a political move as significant as defecting to another party, I know the right channels to follow and I can assure the public that such a declaration would not, and will never, be made through Hon. Wole Oke.

“The idea that my political destiny would be brokered or announced by him is both laughable and insulting to my person, my office, and my political structure” he said.
