Usman Kamaru Beats American Buckley To End UFC Losing Streak

Kamaru Usman ended his losing streak against Joachin Buckley on Saturday, claiming a unanimous decision win over the American.
‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ came into the fight on the back of three straight defeats.

The welterweight bout between former champion and No. 5 ranked Usman and No. 7 ranked Joaquin Buckley headlined the UFC Atlanta fight card at State Farm Arena.
Usman’s last fought in October 2023 and he came up against Buckley desperate for a win.

For Buckley, he was on a six-fight winning streak. Last December, he defeated former interim titleholder Colby Covington via doctor stoppage. 15 of his 27 career wins had come by knockout.
However, that came to an end against Usman. After five rounds, the score cards read 49-46, 49-46, and 49-46.
