Prisoners flee As Osun Correctional Centre Wall Collapses

The collapse of some part of the Medium Security Custodial Center in ilesa ,Osun State has led to the escape of about seven inmates.
The incident, which occurred today, created an opportunity for the prisoners to flee the premises undetected.
Reports are yet to confirm if the collapse was triggered by environmental factors or was intentionally orchestrated.

The Controller General of Corrections, CGC, Sylvester Nwakuche, represented by the Deputy Controller of Corrections / Public Relations Officer, Umar Abubakar while confirming the incident said the facility had launched an expansive manhunt following the rainfall that breached the security of its facility in ilesa.
The Statement reads ” However, the Service solicits the cooperation and support of the public in providing information that may lead to the recapture of the fleeing inmates.
