EPL, Serie A Lead Top 20 UEFA Ranks Best Leagues In Europe
UEFA has ranked the best leagues in Europe as the 2024/25 season draws to a conclusion later this month.
According to UEFA’s website, the English Premier League, EPL, is the highest-ranked league in Europe based on their five-season club coefficient ranking.
As of May 20, 2025, EPL holds the top spot, followed by Italy’s Serie A and Spain’s LaLiga.

Germany’s Bundesliga and France’s Ligue 1 completes the top five best leagues in Europe.
UEFA rankings are determined by the performance of the clubs from each country in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League over the previous five seasons.

These rankings are used to determine the number of teams from each country that qualify for the UEFA competitions.
