2026: Osun Pathfinder Team Endorses Gov Adeleke For Second Term

A political group within the Osun Peoples Democratic Party, Osun Pathfinder Team has endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke for second term.

The group unanimously made the endorsement during a strategic leadership meeting held on Thursday in Ede.

The group maintained that unprecedented and unpredictable successes” recorded by the Adeleke-led administration within two years called for his continuation beyond 2026.

Speaking during the meeting, BoT Chairman of the group who doubles as Executive Chairman of Ede South Local Government, Hon. Lukman Afolabi (Abere Soose) reaffirmed the groups unwavering loyalty and total commitment to the Governor and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Blaze Newz gathered that all 30 local government coordinators of the Pathfinder Team reaffirmed attended the meeting.

According to the team, the Adeleke administration has redefined good governance in Osun State, delivering people-oriented projects, inclusive governance, and placing youth at the heart of policymaking and implementation. The team described Governor Adeleke as “the best governor in the history of Osun State”, whose transformative leadership has become a benchmark for effective governance.

The team further assured residents of Osun State not to be distracted by noise from the opposition, stressing that Governor Adeleke’s visible achievements will naturally attract a broader voter base to the PDP ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.

Recognizing the youths as the real drivers of electoral outcomes, the Pathfinder Team stated: “With this government’s youth-inclusive policies and opportunities, victory for PDP in 2026 is not only assured but will be a landslide.”

In a call for unity, the team urged leaders and members of the PDP, APC, Labour Party, and other political stakeholders to rally behind Governor Adeleke in the interest of sustainable development and collective progress in Osun State.

“If the essence of politics is to birth visionary, God-fearing, and people-centric leadership, then Governor Ademola Adeleke deserves not just a second term but collective support across party lines,” the communiqué read.
