Renowned journalist and founder of Agidigbo FM, Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat, is reportedly gearing up to contest the Oyo State governorship position ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Sources indicate that political momentum is building around Hamzat’s candidacy, as campaign posters and billboards bearing the slogan “Oyo ’n Pe O” have begun surfacing across the state. Initially shrouded in mystery, investigations have now confirmed that Dr. Hamzat is the figure behind the emerging movement.

A statement posted on the official Oyo’n Pe O social media page addressed criticisms directed at his transition from media to politics.

It stated:“The claim that ‘governance is more than speaking into a microphone’ reflects a misunderstanding of leadership.
