Bethlehem Condemns Israeli Ban On French Consul

Bethlehem Municipality has strongly condemned Israel’s decision to deny entry to French Consul General Sylvain Roussel, who was set to attend the launch of the “Palestine 2030” project, a UN-Habitat initiative developed with French partners.
The municipality called the move a political escalation that undermines international cooperation and obstructs efforts for peace and justice.
Mayor Anton Salman reaffirmed Bethlehem’s commitment to its French partnerships, praising France’s support for Palestinian rights and recent recognition of Palestinian statehood.
