Oluwo Unveils TELU Football Team NLO, Commends Promoter, Assures Utmost Support

The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has officially unveiled the Telu Football Team to participate in the 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO).
Appointed as the Grand Patron of the Telu Football Club some years ago, Oluwo commended the promoter of the club, Engr. Taoheed Alamu, drummed his continuous support and blessed the team for a victorious outing.
He described the team as the face of Iwoland in the Sports Ministry and affirmed the transition of TELU FC into a fully recognized NLO one team, registered under the Nigerian Nationwide League One structured as an encouragement to discover and promote football talents in Iwoland.

Oba Akanbi called on the sons and daughters of Iwoland to rally support for the club by providing moral and financial encouragement to the players and coaches.
The promoter, Engr. Alamu commended Oluwo for his incessant support, assuring the throne of the club’s readiness to project Iwo excellence in grassroots and international footballs.
Engr. Alamu said the club is an opportunity for the brightest football talents to climb the ladder from local recognition to international prominence.

He said the FC mission is not limited to football but also includes building of academic, cultural and moral upbringing of their players.
According to Engr. Alamu, “Telu Football Club, is a top-rated, professional football club and academy based in Iwo, Osun State. It has now transitioned into a fully recognized NLO One team, registered under the Nigerian Nationwide League One structure, representing Iwoland on the national football stage in the 2025 season”.
“Telu FC’s strength lies in its player development model combining High-level coaching by licensed professionals, a structured academic and religious support system, allowing players to grow holistically, access to elite youth tournaments, providing top exposure and competition, a firm commitment to discipline, character building, and technical mastery of the modern game”
