Kawar Court Starts Trial On Murder Of Hafsoh Lawal

AbdulRahman Bello, the prime suspect in the murder of Hafsoh Lawal, alongside his alleged accomplices, appeared on Tuesday before the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin as trial proceedings officially commenced.

Blaze Newz gathered that Bello was brought to the court in a white Toyota Hilux bus heavily armed with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The suspect was arraigned alongside Ahmed Abdulwasiu (41), Suleiman Muyideen (28), Jamiu Uthman (29), and Abdulrahmon Jamiu (31), a farmer from Elemere Village.

The case is now being prosecuted by the Kwara State Government, with the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Senior Sulyman, leading the legal team.

During the proceedings, it was disclosed that the DSS has concluded its investigation into the case. As a result, the court directed that the suspects be transferred from DSS custody to the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) facility at Oke-Kura.

Justice Hannah Ajayi, who presided over the session, adjourned the case to Wednesday, May 7, 2025, for further hearing.
