Eid Fitri: Pray For Peace, Steady Development In Osun – Ede South LG Chair, Afolabi Urges Muslims

Muslim Ummah in Osun state, particularly Ede South Local Government have been urged by Hon. Lukman Afolabi (Abere Soose) to pray for continuous peace and steady development of the state.
Afolabi made this appeal in his felicitation statement to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the 2025 Eid Fitri celebration.

The council boss noted that the Eid Fitri, which comes immediately after the completion of the holy month of Ramadan, should not be used for only merry but to seek Allah’s mercy on Osun.

Afolabi, who acknowledged that governance at the local government level across the state is facing anti-democracy challenges that are hindrances to expected development, enjoined the Muslim Ummah to pray for Allah’s intervention.
His felicitation statement reads,” I extend my warmest felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters. This joyous occasion marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth.
“Eid Fitri is a time for celebration, forgiveness, and renewal. It is a moment to reconnect with our faith, our families, and our communities. As we exchange gifts, share meals, and offer prayers, let us remember the true spirit of this blessed occasion.
“As we celebrate Eid Fitri, let us also acknowledge the challenges faced by governance at the local government level. Anti-democracy agents are doing everything possible for our people not to enjoy good governance.

“This challenge is a threat and hindrance to the yearning of the good people of Ede South Local Government for expected development.

“As we mark the end of Ramadan, let us also look forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. May the lessons of Ramadan guide us towards a brighter future, filled with peace, prosperity, and harmony.
