Osun Purported LG Yes/No Chairman Backs Social Media User Illegal Declaration On Market Women

Hon. Kola Salami, a purpoted reinstated Yes/No Chairman has backed an illegal declaration posted by a social media user,Ismail W. Alade Iwa, on market women.

Salami, who said has been reinstated as the authentic chairman of Ede South Local Government Area of Osun on his verified Facebook page shared the declaration that market women should start boycotting the payment of ticket.

Calling on the public against what it described as ‘part of demonic moves’, a press statement issued by the Hon Lukman Afolabi media unit, the Executive Chairman of the council on Wednesday, said the illegal declaration should be disregard.

Residents of the local government were reminded that the ticked is part of the local government’s internally generated revenue (IGR) which the Osun opposition party, All Progressives Congress of Osun, is determined to cripple.

Market women were ,however, urged to continue to be the partners in progress of the local government whose policies are to make life easy for its citizens.

The statement reads, “We have been made aware of a recent social media statement credited to one Ismail W. Alade Iwa declaring tickets free for market women and shared by Kola Salami, a purported Yes/No APC Chairman of Ede South Local Government Area of Osun.

“The illegal declaration is part of the demonic moves by the opposition party, All Progressives Congress of Osun, to cripple the internally generated revenue (IGR) of our local government after they lost power to make it difficult the delivery of good governance at the grassroots level.

“This to the good people of Ede South has clearly shown that Osun APC is only determined to return the people back to the days of suffering which is against the agenda of the People Democratic Party and Governor Ademola Adeleke.

“We can all attest to developmental projects scattered across our LG, this is with the support of IGR.

“The public is advised to disregard the misguided declaration coming from the Yes/No chairman, who is still struggling to accept the reality on the ground.

“And to our market women, who are our partners in progress and know our government believes in making life easy for its citizens, if any of this happens, we will communicate to you through the appropriate channel” the statement concluded.
