Osun NULGE Debunks Akere’s False Claims, Sacked Boluwaduro LG Chairman

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Osun State Chapter, led by Dr. Nathaniel Ogungbangbe has refuted the misleading claims made by Mr. Sunday Akere and the sacked Chairman of Boluwaduro Local Government, Alhaji Bayo Oyekanmi regarding the resumption of local government workers at council secretariats.
Dr. Ogungbangbe clarified that the individuals addressed by Akere and the dismissed Boluwaduro LG Chairman were not NULGE members.
“The gathering they referenced did not consist of our staff. Our findings confirm that no local government worker participated in their event,” he stated.

He further reiterated that all local government employees in Osun State remain away from their respective secretariats, strictly adhering to the union’s directive.
“Our stand remains unchanged—no staff is reporting to the council offices. Any information suggesting otherwise is false and intended to mislead the public,” he emphasized.

Additionally, the NULGE President debunked claims that staff members were present at Atakumosa West Local Government and Isokan local government secretariats.
“No single NULGE member went to Atakumosa West LG. Any assertion to the contrary is a deliberate falsehood,” he declared.
Dr. Ogungbangbe urged the public to disregard the misinformation being circulated and reaffirmed the union’s commitment to the collective welfare of Osun’s local government workers.
