DSS, Police Take Over Lagos Assembly

The operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS, and the Nigeria Police, on Monday, took over the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The operatives took over the assembly at Alausa, Ikeja to ensure adequate security.
Mojisola Meranda, the Speaker of the house reportedly arrived around 12pm with her convoy.
Following her arrival, the House settled to plenary, as the lawmakers expressed confidence in her leadership.

Blaze Newz recalls that the recently impeached speaker, Obasa, was removed from by 32 of the 40 members of the house on January 13, 2025 while he was in the United States.
