Olugbo Of Ugbo Reacts To Death Reports

The Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom, Oba Frederick Obateru Akinruntan, has dismissed rumours of his death, assuring the public that he is alive and in good health.
In a phone conversation with journalists, the monarch expressed his disappointment over the false reports circulating on online news platforms.
“To clear any doubts, I am hale and hearty,” Oba Akinruntan stated. “I have received numerous calls from across the world, particularly from Ondo State, regarding my supposed death.”
The monarch also spoke with his lawyer, Chief Sola Ebiseni, who is the Secretary General of Afenifere, to further confirm his well-being.

During their discussion, Oba Akinruntan reiterated that the rumours were baseless and should be disregarded.
“I travelled for a short vacation and will be home soon,” he explained. “In Yorubaland, such rumours are seen as a blessing for long life. The Olugbo is alive and well.”
The false reports of his passing surfaced in the morning and were quickly published by some online media outlets, causing concern among his subjects.

However, the monarch’s clarification has reassured his followers, who were eager to confirm his status.
Oba Akinruntan urged the public to rely on verified sources for information and avoid spreading unverified news.
