LG Polls: PDP Candidate, Afolabi Promises Massive Development To Residents Of Alajue If Elected

• Olu Of Alajue Endorses Gov Ademola Adeleke For Second Term

The Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, Ede South campaign train stormed Alajue Ward, in its move to seek support for the party’s chairmanship candidate,Hon Lukman Afolabi and the ward’s councillor.

The party received by momouth crawd under the chairmanship of Hon. Ademola Oyebode, pledged their support for PDP in the forthcoming February 22 council election.

Speaking on behalf of PDP members in Alajue 2 Ward 5, Oyebode, expressed his appreciation over the massive turnout, describing it as a testament of their commitment to Governor Ademola Adeleke-led administration and their unalloyed loyalty to vote massively for the council area chairmanship candidate, Hon. Lukman Afolabi.

Welcoming large number of decampees led by Mr. Lawal Rasak, PDP chieftain, Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade, presented them with the PDP flag, assured them of equal treatment within the party.

Rasak said they (decampees) concluded with their decision to pitch tent with the PDP after accessing the outstanding performance of Governor Adeleke within his more than two years in office.

According to Rasak “We took this bold step because of the governor’s remarkable achievements and our commitment to ensuring his re-election in 2026”.

In his remarks, the chairmanship candidate, Hon. Lukman Afolabi, assured residents of Alajue 2 of his administration readiness to serve as an extension of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s government if elected.

He pledged to prioritize the provision and upgrade facilities, enhance agriculture to strengthen food security and focus on the overall welfare of the people.

The Olu of Alajue, Oba Sulaiman Adebayo (Kusela1) commended Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, highlighting its remarkable achievements within just two years in office.

He emphasized that the governor’s performance has positively impacted every nooks and crannies of Osun State, winning the hearts of its people. Governor Adeleke’s re-election is undeniable, he stated.

The Royal Father , therefore, appealed to the incoming chairman to extend his administration’s development efforts to Alajue, particularly by addressing the community’s electricity needs.

In response to the monarch, Hon. Lukman Afolabi assured the king and residents of swift intervention in addressing the electricity issue and other essential infrastructure needs as soon as he assumed office.
