Com’tte Reels Out Successes As Timi Of Ede Celebrates 70th Birthday

The Planning Committee for the platinum birthday of the Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, has said under the leadership of the royal father Edeland is enjoying rapid development.

The committee under the chairmanship of Babasanya of Ede, High Chief Engr. Lateef Lawal, made this known ,on Friday, while addressing newsmen at the Timi’s palace in Ede.

Lawal, who noted that the current Timi of Edeland has been a strong advocate of good governance and a supporting pillar of government, facilitated numerous developmental projects into the ancient town.

According to the Babasanya “His 70 years of life have been marked by dedication, wisdom, and selflessness, making him a shining example of leadership and a source of inspiration to his community.”

Citing some of the successes Ede recorded under the current Timi leadership, he said Adeleke and Redeemer Universities came to being in delivering educational services with his visionary support.

He stressed on the establishment of five start hotels that strang up in the town, saying this has contributed significantly to the hospitality service of the town with the royal support of the monarch.

Other achievements under the reign of the current Timi, he said the tow can now boast of having a double lane including construction of street roads across the town among others.

Highlighting the 5-day events lined up to celebrate the Timi 70th birthday, the planning committee chairman said the events “including this press conference, which is being held today, February 7th. On February 12th, we will hold an interfaith prayer, followed by a health talk and visitation to an orphanage on February 13th.

He added that outstanding sons and daughters of the town will be honored with chieftaincy award which will take place on February 14th.

“We are particularly excited to recognize the outstanding contributions of the individuals who will be receiving this prestigious award.

“These individuals have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to their communities, and we are honored to acknowledge their achievements.
