PDP, NNPP Have Officially Invited Aregbesola To Join Them - Omoluabi Chieftain

Organising Secretary of the Omoluabi Progressives, Oluwaseun Abosede, has disclosed that the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, New Nigeria Peoples Party,NNPP, have officially invited, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, to join their party after exiting All Progressives Congress, APC.

Abosede, in an interview granted to PUNCH ,on Monday, said apart from PDP and NNPP other political parties and individuals, behind the curtain, have approached the Omoluabi Progressives to join them.

Blaze Newz recalls that the Omoluabi Progressives backed by the former Governor of Osun state recently announced their exit from APC citing expulsion of their leaders from the Osun APC among others.

According to Abosede “The PDP has officially written a letter to Aregbesola, that he should come and join them. The NNPP has written a letter officially to Aregbesola to come and join them.

He added “A lot of political parties and individuals, behind the curtain, have spoken to us to come and join them and we are not pushing anybody away.”

Reacting to the advice of of a house representative lawmaker, Oluwole Oke, suggesting Aregbesola should make peace with President Bola Tinubu the Omoluabi Progressives chieftain said “Mr Wole Oke, is, of course, a public official with a vast years of experience. He is an experienced man and we welcome his reaction.

“As he (Oke) has spoken now, we may look at what he has said. If it is in line with what we are saying, we will look at it. The stage we are in now, we are gathering the opinions and feelings of the people, including the media.

“No big deal (in apologising); he (Oke) just identified that we are someone just like numerous people have spoken to us behind the curtains.

“He is welcome, we appreciate him and we will take his advice into consideration.”

Blaze Newz also gathered from a post shared on his verified Facebook page recently, Oke, a PDP lawmaker representing Obokun Federal Constituency, urged his party to quickly pay the dowry of Aregbesola, who he described as a “bride”.

“The PDP must act fast, pay the necessary dowry, and bring this ‘bride’ into their fold. Symbol, as he is popularly known, is not someone you let wander” he wrote.
