Arab Varsities Delegates Storm Markaz Agege , Laud Development

Delegation of the Association of Arab Universities on Monday, commended the giant stride and development going on at Arabic and Islamic Centre, Markaz Agege, Lagos.

The delegation led by Professor Ahmad Saeed Rufai according to Spokesperson to Sheikh Muhammed Habibullah Adam Abdullah El-Ilory on Special matters , Nurudeen Ibrahim, lauded rapid development of the institution.

In his remarks, Professor Ahmad Rufai asserted Markaz Agege as one of the earliest and leading schools for modern Arabic and Islamic Education in Nigeria founded by the legendary scholar Sheikh Adam Abdullah El-Ilory and that today the school is under the administration of Mawlana Sheikh Muhammed Habibullah Adam Abdullah El-Ilory.

He added that Sheikh Habibullah El-Ilory is the founder of Markaz University College.

Professor Ahmad Rufai highlighted the so many contributions of Sheikh Adam Abdullah El-Ilory especially to modern literary works in Arabic and Islamic Studies.

Also, Professor Amr Ezzat Salamah expressed his delight to meet the Sheikh Habibullah El-Ilory and also to know about the iconic works of Sheikh Adam Abdullah El-Ilory.

The delegation which inspected the Digital Technology and Language Laboratory, ICT Centre and the Modern Printing Press lauded management of Markaz Agege for its advanced development despite not getting any international funding for the projects.

Sheikh Habibullah El-Ilory, Director of Markaz Agege, warmly welcomed Professor Ahmad Saeed Rufai and a delegation from the Association of Arab Universities.

Blaze Newz earlier reported that Chief of Staff to President of Nigeria, Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, commissioned a three storey hostel building and handed it to Markaz Agege management.
