Ibadan Stampede: Police Invite Ooni’s ex-Queen, Naomi
Ex-Queen of the Ooni of Ife, Prophetess Naomi Shikemi, the principal organizer of the tragic Ibadan funfair that caused the death of several children is currently in police custody.
32 children were killed in a stampede that occurred on Wednesday during a funfair at the Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan the Oyo State capital.
The Ex-Queen and an Ibadan-based broadcaster, Oriyomi Hazmat were accused of sponsoring the event, which also caused severe injuries to several participants.

When contacted by DAILY POST, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso confirmed that Naomi is in custody assisting in the investigation.
According to the PPRO, Naomi was “invited and she honoured the Invitation. She is assisting with the ongoing Investigation”.
