Afolabi Presents Trophy As Akoment FC Wins 2024 Ede Day Football Cup
Chairman of the Planning Committee for the 2024 Ede Day, Hon Lukman Afolabi, on Thursday, presented trophy to Akoment FC as winners of the football Cup organized to celebrate this year’s Ede Day celebration.
The competition final ended with 2-0 in favor of Akoment FC against RCCG Excel Arena FC.
Apart from the scintillating display by both sides on the pitch, the presence of notable personalities added glamour to the grand finale which was watched by fairly enthusiastic soccer lovers.
Among the dignitaries who graced the final match were the chairman planning committee of 2024 Ede Day Hon Lukman Afolabi and chairman Local Government Service Commission Tunji Adeleke.

Also in attendance are, member of Osun State House of Assembly, representing Ede South State Constituency, Barr Taofeek Olayiwola, PDP party chairmanship candidate in Ede North Hon Taiwo Amodu, PDP Party chairman both in Ede South and North, chairman of publicity committee, entertainment, security, and mobilization of 2024 Ede day, members of the descendant Union, Party leaders, artisans.

Quite a good number of active and retired referees, coaches, players, and other stakeholders in the round leather game, also Olaide Alfe and Abiodun Aderibigbe, Alaka Saheed Obelomo were on ground anchoring the program.
