They Are Moving Us More Towards Unitary Type Of Govt – Makinde
Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde has claimed that the federal government under President Bola Tinubu is moving the country towards a unitary type of government.
Makinde, who also lamented the hardship Nigerians are currently facing urged subnaional to do their best by implementing policies and project that will impact the life of their people.
According to the governor “One of the surest way of tackling the economic quagmire we are currently experiencing is for subnational to do their best to implement policies and project that will impact their people .
“Of course we must still fight for the reforms that will lead to true federal.
“Unfortunately, by the proponent of true federalism, they are moving us more towards a unitary type of government.”

Makinde made these known in Osogbo , on Wednesday, during the commissioning of the completion of the dualization of stadium roundabout, Testing Ground roundabout, Oke Baale roundabout and Ilesha Garage roundabout.
Speaking on the project, Governor Makinde expressed his satisfaction that Governor Ademola Adeleke did not abandon uncompleted projects of his predecessors.
“This is cementing your position of leadership” Makinde said.
He also noted that with the demonstration of Governor Adeleke’s style of leadership Nigerians should be rest assured that they now have set of new leaders who put party politics aside to deliver good governance.
“I am glad that Nigeria has become too advanced for mediocers and minds that can not think one inch deeper.

“Such minds they are the one that will thinker that I did not start this project and I can not complete it, now we have set of new leaders coming up.
“People of Osun state must come first and they have been put first.”
Makinde maintained that they are the true progressives in southwest” for us I told my brother, we in this southwest, himself and myself we are the true progressives.
“We will continue to lead the path and provide good leadership for our people.”
