Adeleke Recognizes Abokede, Lawal, Fadeji, Others With State Award

Governor Ademola Adeleke has awarded seventy five sons and daughters of the state who had done exceptional in their different field with state award.

The award session held at Adolak Event Centre, Osogbo, on Monday, was part of the 15 days activities lined up to celebrate Governor Adeleke’s two years in office.

Blaze Newz gathered that Governor Adeleke, the 6th executive governor of Osun state will clock two years in office on November 27, 2024.

In his speech, Governor Ademola Adeleke said the award was in recognition of the contributions of the awardees towards the development of the state and the country at large.

He urged the awardees not to relent in contributing their quota to the development of the state, promised that his administration would continue to recognize those making the state proud in their various endeavours.

Speaking to newsmen after receiving her award, General Manager of the Osun Community Social and Development Agency (Osun-CSDA) Mrs Funmi Abokede expressed her gratitude to the governor for founding her worthy for the state award.

According to Abokede “This award is motivating, it will also encourage me to do more, for him to recognize the contribution we have made in the agency where I head to have take part in his five points development agenda.”

She promised that Osun-CSDA under her leadership will continue to contribute to Governor Adeleke’s development agenda and the development of Osun state at large.

Also, Chairman of the Osun Civil Societies Coalition, Comrade Waheed Lawal who received his award in recognition of his commitments to the pursuit of Justice, equity and human dignity commended the governor.

The human rights activist reiterated his commitment that he will continue to fight for the masses in ensuring a better society devoid of oppression.

Bayo Fadeji, Director, Media, Publicity and Protocol of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, who received the state award as best staff of the institution said his best is just coming.

“My best is just coming, am just putting my best to ensure that things are moving well by the grace of God” Fadeji said.

He enjoined his colleagues to put in their best saying “there will be a day it will be noticed and you will be rewarded” added that ” there is no service that will go unrewarded.”

Others few who received the state award are, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Lasu Yusuf, Shaykh Salaudeen Olayiwola, former University of Ibadan Vice Chancellor, Idowu Olayinka,High Chief Muniru Adeniyi Adisa Gbegunde, Mayegun of Iwoland.
